(A) Establishment. The office of City Tax Collector is hereby established.
(B) Powers and duties. The Tax Collector shall take such steps as are required to issue the tax bills authorized by city ordinance and further take such steps as are required to collect and receive all money due on the taxes, special assessments, and other funds that are not paid directly to the Treasurer, and perform all other duties as required by law. The Tax Collector shall keep records for all the collections.
(C) Oath. The Tax Collector shall take an oath to faithfully perform the duties of his office and that he possesses the requisite qualifications.
(D) Bond. The Tax Collector shall give a bond in the amount of $1,000.
(E) Compensation. The Tax Collector shall be paid a salary to be negotiated through current union representative.

(A) The office of Assistant Chief of Police is hereby created.
(B) The Assistant Chief of Police shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council to serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.
(C) An appointee to the office of Assistant Chief of Police shall retain his civil service rank and may obtain advancements in civil service rank while holding office as Assistant Chief of Police.
(D) Notwithstanding his civil service rank, the Assistant Chief of Police shall have, in the absence of the Police Chief, the command authority, powers and duties of the Chief of Police as set out in the command structure illustrated in § 35.09.

(A) The office of Assistant Chief of the Fire Department is hereby established.
(B) Qualifications for appointment to the office of Assistant Chief are that the appointee shall be able to read, write, and understand the English language and shall be a person of sobriety and integrity and is and has been an orderly, law abiding citizen. In addition, the appointee shall have prior training and experience as a firefighter.
(C) The Assistant Chief shall be on call and duty only during those periods of time when the Chief of the Fire Department is not on duty or unavailable to carry out his duties. The Assistant Chief shall not be on call and duty until such time as he is given notice to assume the responsibilities of his office by the Mayor. The duties, powers, and responsibilities of office of the Assistant Chief while acting in that capacity shall be the same as the duties, powers and responsibilities of the Chief.
(D) The Assistant Chief shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The salary of the Assistant Chief shall be $500.00 per week to be paid only for those periods of time when he is on duty as provided in (C) above.

(A) Establishment. There is hereby created the office of Code Enforcement officer for the city.
(B) Powers and duties. Code Enforcement Officers for the city shall have the duty and authority to issue citations for the violation of, and to enforce, all ordinances of the city of which the Code Enforcement Board has jurisdiction and all other statutes and ordinances of other jurisdictions for the violations of which citations may be issued, including, but not limited to, zoning violations to be heard and decided by the Jefferson County Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustment, Jefferson County District Court or other judicial or regulatory agencies provided for by ordinances of the Jefferson County Fiscal Court or state statutes.
(C) Appointment. Code Enforcement officers shall be appointed, pursuant to the authority of KRS 83A.080 by the Mayor with approval of the City Council to serve at the pleasure of the executive authority.
(D) Oath; bond. Code Enforcement officers for the city shall be required to take the oath of office provided by the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky before entering upon the duties of office. A bond shall not be required to be posted by individuals appointed as code enforcement officers.
