(A) Establishment. The office of City Tax Collector is hereby established.
(B) Powers and duties. The Tax Collector shall take such steps as are required to issue the tax bills authorized by city ordinance and further take such steps as are required to collect and receive all money due on the taxes, special assessments, and other funds that are not paid directly to the Treasurer, and perform all other duties as required by law. The Tax Collector shall keep records for all the collections.
(C) Oath. The Tax Collector shall take an oath to faithfully perform the duties of his office and that he possesses the requisite qualifications.
(D) Bond. The Tax Collector shall give a bond in the amount of $1,000.
(E) Compensation. The Tax Collector shall be paid a salary to be negotiated through current union representative.
