§ 31.43 CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.
   (A)   Establishment. There is hereby created the office of Code Enforcement officer for the city.
   (B)   Powers and duties. Code Enforcement Officers for the city shall have the duty and authority to issue citations for the violation of, and to enforce, all ordinances of the city of which the Code Enforcement Board has jurisdiction and all other statutes and ordinances of other jurisdictions for the violations of which citations may be issued, including, but not limited to, zoning violations to be heard and decided by the Jefferson County Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustment, Jefferson County District Court or other judicial or regulatory agencies provided for by ordinances of the Jefferson County Fiscal Court or state statutes.
   (C)   Appointment. Code Enforcement officers shall be appointed, pursuant to the authority of KRS 83A.080 by the Mayor with approval of the City Council to serve at the pleasure of the executive authority.
   (D)   Oath; bond. Code Enforcement officers for the city shall be required to take the oath of office provided by the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky before entering upon the duties of office. A bond shall not be required to be posted by individuals appointed as code enforcement officers.
