PRESIDENT
§ 30.01 ELECTION AND TERM OF OFFICE.
   The Village President shall be elected for a term of four years, commencing at the first regular or special meeting of the Village Board on or after May 1 following his or her election, and shall be the President of the Board of Trustees as is provided by statute.

§ 30.02 DUTIES.
   He or she shall be the chief executive officer of the village, and he or she shall perform all duties that may be required of him or her by statute or ordinance. He or she shall have supervision over all executive officers of the village, and he or she shall have the power and the authority to inspect all books and records kept by any village officer or employee at any reasonable time.

§ 30.03 DESIGNATION OF DUTIES.
   Whenever there is a question as to the respective duties or powers of any appointed officer of the village, this shall be settled by the President; and he or she shall have the power to delegate to any such officer any duty which is to be performed when no specific officer has been directed to perform that duty.

§ 30.04 BOND; OATH; COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Before entering upon the duties of his or her office, the President shall give a bond with sureties to be approved by the Board of Trustees conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties, in the sum as set by legislative authority.
   (B)   The President of the Board of Trustees of the village shall perform such duties as are prescribed for him or her by state statute and ordinances of the village.
   (C)   The compensation of the President of the Board of Trustees of the village for his or her services shall be as set by legislative authority.
