He or she shall be the chief executive officer of the village, and he or she shall perform all duties that may be required of him or her by statute or ordinance. He or she shall have supervision over all executive officers of the village, and he or she shall have the power and the authority to inspect all books and records kept by any village officer or employee at any reasonable time.

Whenever there is a question as to the respective duties or powers of any appointed officer of the village, this shall be settled by the President; and he or she shall have the power to delegate to any such officer any duty which is to be performed when no specific officer has been directed to perform that duty.

(A) Before entering upon the duties of his or her office, the President shall give a bond with sureties to be approved by the Board of Trustees conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties, in the sum as set by legislative authority.
(B) The President of the Board of Trustees of the village shall perform such duties as are prescribed for him or her by state statute and ordinances of the village.
(C) The compensation of the President of the Board of Trustees of the village for his or her services shall be as set by legislative authority.

During a temporary absence or disability of the Village President, the Board of Trustees shall elect one of its number to act as President pro tem, who, during the absence or disability of the President, shall perform the duties pertaining to that office.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Board of Trustees shall have six Trustees. The Trustees shall be elected to office for four-year terms commencing at the first regular or special meeting of the Village Board on or after May 1 following their election. This Board shall be the legislative department of the village government, and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be delegated to it by statute.

(A) The regular meetings of the Board of Trustees shall be held on the first and third Mondays of each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Public notice shall be given as provided by statute.
(B) The meeting place of such Board shall be the Village Hall, unless otherwise ordered by the Board; provided that, if such meeting date should fall on a legal holiday, or if there is no quorum present, the meeting shall be held on the next secular day.
