CHAPTER 12-1300. ENFORCEMENT AND OBEDIENCE TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
§ 12-1301. Authority of Firemen.
   (1)   Firemen may assist the police in directing traffic at the scene of a fire.
   (2)   No person shall fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of a fireman assisting the police in directing traffic at the scene of a fire.
§ 12-1302. Persons Propelling Push Carts or Riding Animals to Obey Traffic Regulations.
   (1)   Every person propelling any push cart or riding or leading an animal upon a roadway, and every person driving any animal-drawn vehicle, shall be subject to the provisions of this Title applicable to operators.
§ 12-1303. Public Employees to Obey Regulations.
   (1)   The provisions of this Title shall apply to the operator of any vehicle owned or used in the service of the United States Government, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any other governmental agency or political subdivision.
§ 12-1304. Exemptions to Authorized Emergency Vehicles.
   (1)   The operator of an authorized emergency vehicle, when responding to an emergency call or when in pursuit of an actual or suspected violator of the law or when responding to but not upon returning from a fire call, may:
      (a)   Park or stand, irrespective of the provisions of this Title, or
      (b)   Disregard the provisions of this Title governing direction of movement or turning in specified directions.
   (2)   The rights granted to an authorized emergency vehicle shall apply only when the operator of such vehicle is sounding an audible signal.
