76.01 Snow Sledding Hill Designated 76.04 Hours 76.02 Parking 76.05 Barricaded Intersections 76.03 Emergency Access 76.01 SNOW SLEDDING HILL DESIGNATED.

Third Avenue North, from First Street to Fourth Street in the City is designated as a snow sledding hill during the snow season. No other sledding on public streets in the City is permitted, except on Third Avenue North and under such rules and regulations as set forth in this chapter.

76.02 PARKING.

There shall be no on-street parking of motor vehicles permitted on Third Avenue North between First Street and Fourth Street when there is snow upon the traveled portion of the roadway. Motor vehicle traffic is permitted on Third Avenue North to gain access to driveways and alleyways.

76.03 EMERGENCY ACCESS.

Emergency access to properties along Third Avenue North shall have priority in decisions to plow alleys, cross streets and Third Avenue. Decisions as to snow clearance from those areas shall be made either by the Fire Chief or the Ambulance Chief or the Police Chief. The intersections of Third Avenue North and Second Street and Third Avenue North and Third Street shall not be designated as snow routes.

76.04 HOURS.

All persons using the sledding hill for sledding shall use Third Avenue only and shall not be permitted on adjacent sidewalks or yards. Snow sledding shall be permitted on Third Avenue North only during the following hours:

Sunday through Thursday - 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Friday and Saturday - 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

76.05 BARRICADED INTERSECTIONS.

Motor vehicle traffic shall not be permitted to cross Third Avenue North at the intersections of Second Street and Third Street during the snow season and when barricades are in place at those intersections. Motor vehicles shall be permitted to enter Third Avenue North from the western side of Second Street and enter Third Avenue North from the eastern side of Third Street for purposes of gaining access to driveways upon Third Avenue North.
