26.01 APPOINTMENT.

The CDG (Community Development Group) Board of Directors shall appoint a CDG Director, subject to Council affirmation.

26.02 COMPENSATION.

The CDG Director is paid such compensation as specified by resolution of the Council upon receiving a recommendation from the CDG Board of Directors.

26.03 POWERS AND DUTIES.

The duties of the CDG Director include the following:

1.   Administration of the CDG mission as established by the Board of Directors.

2.   Day-to-day coordination of the CDG programs and activities as directed by the CDG Board of Directors.

3.   Liaison between CDG Board of Directors and other professional, government, and philanthropic groups.

4.   Fulfills the duties of the Main Street coordinator for the City of Mt. Vernon under the direction and supervision of the CDG Board of Directors.
