PLANNING BOARD
§ 32.001 CREATED.
   There shall be a Planning Board of the City of Monroe in accordance with the following provisions.

§ 32.002 APPOINTMENTS AND TERMS.
   (A)   Generally. The Planning Board (PB) shall consist of seven (7) regular members appointed by City Council.
      (1)   Members shall be residents of the City of Monroe and shall be appointed by City Council; one member may reside outside of the City but within the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
      (2)   In addition to the forgoing regular members, one member of the Monroe Youth Council shall serve as an ex officio, non-voting, uncompensated member. The Monroe Youth Council shall select the Youth Council ex officio member at the time it elects officers annually.
      (3)   The chairperson shall receive seventy-five (75) dollars per meeting attended. All other members shall receive fifty (50) dollars per meeting attended.
   (B)   Member terms. Planning Board members shall be appointed for four-year staggered terms expiring on December 31st.
      (1)   Members may serve two consecutive terms.
      (2)   Any vacancy in the membership shall be filled for the unexpired term.
      (3)   Members may continue to serve until their successors have been appointed.
