(A) Generally. The Board of Adjustment (BOA) shall consist of at least seven (7) regular members, appointed by City Council.
(1) Members of the Board of Adjustment shall be residents of the city and shall be appointed by City Council; one member may reside outside of the city but within the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
(2) The chairperson shall receive seventy-five (75) dollars per meeting attended. All other members shall receive fifty (50) dollars per meeting attended.
(B) Member Term. Board of Adjustment members shall be appointed for three-year staggered terms expiring on December 31st.
(1) Members may serve two consecutive terms.
(2) Any vacancy in the membership shall be filled for the unexpired term.
(3) Members may continue to serve until their successors have been appointed.
