§ 33.075 LEGAL SHIELD.
   (A)   Employees of the Town of Monon can choose to enroll in Legal Shield services at their own expense.
      (1)   Employee only: $8.75/month.
      (2)   Family: $8.75/month.

§ 33.076 INDIANA PUBLIC RETIREMENT SYSTEM (INPRS).
   (A)   The Clerk-Treasurer and eligible full-time employees may participate in the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS). The town shall contribute the 11.2% mandatory employers' contribution and the 3.0% employee's mandatory contribution. The benefits, costs, and administration are determined by current INPRS directives and will be paid 100% from either the General, MVH, Sewer, and Water Funds.
   (B)   An employee may, on a voluntary basis, have up to 10% more taken from his/her paycheck. Forms for the voluntary contribution may be obtained from the Clerk-Treasurer, filled out and then returned to the Clerk-Treasurer to be kept on file.

§ 33.077 LONGEVITY.
   (A)   A full-time employee of the Town of Monon shall receive, in addition to his/her regular salary, longevity pay as determined by the following schedule.
      (1)   After two full consecutive calendar years of employment, a $100 bonus will be paid as a stipend.
      (2)   After three, four and five years of consecutive employment, an additional $50 will be added each year cumulatively.
      (3)   After six through ten consecutive full calendar years of employment a $100 bonus will be added cumulatively each year.
      (4)   After ten through 15 consecutive full calendar years of employment a $150 bonus will be added each year cumulatively.
      (5)   At 15 years of consecutive employment, the bonus will be frozen thereafter at $1,500 per year.
   (B)    The following longevity pay chart shall illustrate the longevity pay for consecutive years of completed years of service.

   (C)   Longevity pay will be paid to the employee on the first pay of the year. Longevity pay is not included in the calculation of overtime.

§ 33.078 ELECTIVE WAIVER OF BENEFITS.
   Any employee or elected office of the municipality, may decline and waive any of the benefits conferred and set forth in the Compensation and Benefits Ordinance, provided such waiver be in writing, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, a copy of which shall be retained and placed on file with the municipality. Such a waiver may not be rescinded once executed without authorization of the Monon Town Council.

§ 33.079 CAFETERIA PLAN.
   The cafeteria plan as laid out in Ord. 2023-01 and adopted by the town on March 15, 2023 is hereby adopted by reference and incorporated into this code as if laid out in full herein.
