Any employee who is appointed to serve as acting incumbent to the Office of Controller or City Attorney, who at the time of vacancy within the office he/she will assume, receives a higher rate of compensation than that established for the elected official of that office, shall continue to receive the higher rate of compensation while serving as acting incumbent.
