Sec. 22.210.1. Function of Medical Services Division.
 
   The Medical Services Division shall perform the functions which are hereinafter enumerated.
 
   A.   Conduct on Occupational Health Program for City employees. Such program may include, but is not limited to, the maintenance of health and well-being of employees through determination of their physical and emotional capacities during the selection process, placement on appropriate jobs, elimination of occupational health hazards in the work environment, physical examinations, preventive medical services, medical treatment for those injured or disabled in the line of duty, and return to working status compatible with any physical or performance limitation.
 
   B.   At the request of the Chief of Police, examine persons who are candidates for the Police Reserve Corps to determine physical capabilities in accordance with standards established by the Board of Police Commissioners. Provide medical care and treatment for members of the Police Reserve Corps who are injured while actively serving as members of said Corps. Conduct reexaminations as required.
 
   D.   Provide medical care for prisoners and persons in custody in City jails and elsewhere.
