The following definitions apply whenever said terms appear in this chapter.
BILLING ADDRESS. The address at which the customer is contractually liable for utility services furnished to a service address receives billings from the City of Ironton. Billing addresses may, but need not, be the address at which said services are received.
CONSUMER. Any person who is the ultimate residential user of water utility services provided by the City of Ironton.
CONSUMER HOUSEHOLD. Any service address in which the customer contractually liable for utility services furnished that address does not reside.
CUSTOMER. Any person who enters into a contractual agreement with the City of Ironton to receive or to pay for residential utility services provided by the City of Ironton. Customers may, but need not, be consumers of the services provided under such a contractual agreement.
CUSTOMER HOUSEHOLD. Any service address in which the customer contractually liable for utility services furnished that address resides.
SERVICE ADDRESS. Any individual residential address at which water utility services are furnished a consumer of customer household. The singular may include the plural. Most service addresses will be individually metered. However, in apartment buildings, apartment complexes, duplex apartments, etc., one meter may supply more than one household. In such circumstances, each individual apartment is a separate service address as that term is used herein.

(a) Home owner application for service. Each person applying for a new water service or changes in an existing service or for service through existing service connections will be required to fill out and sign the application form agreeing to abide by all rules and regulations of the City of Ironton and to pay any and all required deposits and charges, plus payment of any delinquent charges in the applicant's name. Applicants and their spouse shall be required to provide without limitation, a valid picture ID and social security card.
(b) Renter application for service. Each renter applying for a new water service or changes in an existing service or for service through existing service connections will be required to fill out and sign the application form agreeing to abide by all rules and regulations of the City of Ironton and to pay any and all required deposits and charges, plus payment of any delinquent charges in the applicant's name. Applicants and their spouse shall be required to provide without limitation, a valid picture ID and social security card, in addition to a signed letter and or lease agreement from the landlord showing proof that the renter is the official tenant of said property needing water service.

(a) Turn off.
(1) To turn water off, as requested, (except for emergencies and/or authenticated repairs) and/or for non payment of bills: During regular work hours Monday through Friday, except holidays = $30.00
(2) After regular work hours or on weekends or holidays additional charges = $100.00
(b) Turn on.
(1) To turn water on during regular work hours Monday through Friday, except holidays and/or for nonpayment of bills = $30.00
(2) After regular work hours or on weekends or holidays additional charges = $100.00
