GARBAGE AND RUBBISH
Section 50.02 of the Minnesota Basic Code requiring subscription to a sanitation collection service is amended to include the following language:
In the event a person fails to pay his, her or its sanitation collection service billing within a reasonable time following discontinuance of service (a time period not to exceed 90 days), said outstanding and delinquent billing shall be certified by the City Clerk-Treasurer, assessed against the property on which the charges have been incurred and forwarded to the County Auditor for collection.
SEWER REGULATIONS: USER RATE SCHEDULE FOR CHARGES
Section 51.116 (D) of the Minnesota Basic Code regarding the administration of the sewer service charge system and sewer service fund is amended to read in its entirety:
(D) Bills for sewer service charges shall be rendered on a monthly basis on a billing combined with the water use bill and shall be due ten days from the date of rendering. Any bill not paid in full 30 days after the due date will be considered delinquent. At that time the city shall notify the delinquent owner/occupant in writing regarding the delinquent bill and subsequent penalty. The penalty shall be computed at 18% per annum of the original bill and shall be increased by the same penalty for every month the bill is outstanding. Disconnection of services for late payment shall follow the procedures established in Chapter 53.
