(A) The village shall cause to be collected and removed all recyclable materials which are placed in recycling bins at the curbside adjacent to residential properties and other locations agreed by the village to be enrolled in the recycling service.
(B) The village shall furnish one recycling container for each residential dwelling unit and to each person, firm, or corporation agreed by the village to be eligible to participate in the curbside recycling service. The container shall be owned by the village and shall remain village property at all times. Any container damaged or lost, except for the fault of the village or its agent, shall be replaced at the expense of the person, firm, or corporation using the recycling service. A replacement charge of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be assessed for any container not returned to village hall when service is permanently discontinued for any reason. (Ord. 425, 4-9-1981)
(C) All recyclable materials shall be prepared for collection and arranged in the recycling container as may be provided by rules and regulations issued by the disposal company and approved by a majority vote of the board of trustees. (Ord. 564, 8-12-2003)
The board of trustees may, by resolution, establish "volume based" charges for the collection services provided in this section 6-6-2. (Ord. 425, 4-9-1991)
No person shall remove or haul any garbage, refuse or recyclable materials from any lot or tract of real estate or from any street or alley, for hire, without first procuring a license therefor as provided in this section 6-6-3. (Ord. 425, 4-9-1991)
