It is the purpose of the L-I Light Industrial District to accommodate and encourage the development of light industrial uses which operate entirely within enclosed structures and are clean, quiet and free of hazardous or objectionable elements such as noise, odor, dust, smoke, glare and vibration. The Light Industrial District is an appropriate transition between more intense Industrial Districts and less intensive uses.

Principally permitted uses are as follows:
A. Automotive Repair and Service.
B. Building Materials and Related Trades.
C. Cellular Communication Sites.
D. Contract Construction Services.
E. Light Manufacturing and Storage.
F. Lock and Store Warehouses.
G. Off-Premises Signs.
H. Printing and Publishing.
I. Public Utility Yard.
J. Research and Development Laboratories.
K. Truck Terminals.
L. Warehousing.
M. Wholesale Business.
N. Any other use determined by the Building Inspector to be of the same general character as the above permitted uses.
O. Call Center.

Permitted accessory uses are as follows:
A. Any use customary and incidental to the permitted uses.
B. Offices.
Accessory uses, other than signs, fences and offices, shall be located in the rear yard only and located not closer than six (6) feet from any lot line and covering not more than thirty-five percent (35%) of the required rear yard.
