157.43 PERMANENT PART-TIME EMPLOYEES.
   (a)   “Permanent part-time employee” shall be defined for purposes of the Codified Ordinances and the pay ordinance as an employee working in a job classification stated as “part-time” for which less than 40 hours per week are authorized to be scheduled on a permanent basis throughout the year.
   (b)   Permanent part-time employees shall not be entitled to holidays as stated under Section 157.09 herein for full-time employees. However, permanent part-time employees shall be entitled to holiday pay for certain holidays actually worked as stated under Section 157.091 herein.
   (c)   Permanent part-time employees shall not be entitled to longevity compensation as stated under Section 157.10 herein for full-time employees.
   (d)   Sick leave and vacations shall be determined for permanent part-time employees of this City as indicated in Sections 157.111 and 157.121 herein.
   (e)   Permanent part-time employees shall not be entitled to hospitalization insurance and employee life insurance as stated under Sections 157.14 and 157.23 herein for full-time employees.
   (f)   Permanent part-time employees shall not be entitled to military service differential pay as stated under Section 157.22 herein for full-time employees.
   (g)   Permanent part-time employees shall not be entitled to funeral leave under Section 157.40 herein but may use sick leave for deaths within the employee’s immediate family as stated under the sick leave provisions.
   (h)   Permanent part-time employees shall be entitled to payment during jury duty under Section 157.41 herein.
   (i)   The provisions of this section shall apply to all permanent part-time employees of this City while working part-time jobs not classified as seasonal, temporary, intermittent or per diem/hourly. All employees working jobs classified as seasonal, temporary, intermittent or per diem/hourly shall receive benefits as stated under Section 157.44 herein.
