157.091 HOLIDAYS; PERMANENT PART-TIME EMPLOYEES.
(a) Permanent part-time employees shall not be entitled to holiday pay as stated under Section 157.09 for full-time employees. However, should a permanent part-time employee actually work on any of the following holidays, he or she shall be compensated for the hours worked at the rate of one and one-half times his or her regular rate of pay or, in lieu thereof, the employee may choose another day off from regularly scheduled work with the approval of his or her Department Head:

To receive the premium pay or another day off, the permanent part-time employee must actually work on the actual holiday and not on the preceding Friday or following Monday as stated under Section 157.09(c) hereof.
(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section of the Codified Ordinances, permanent part-time employees hired after March 31, 2009 shall not be entitled to sick time, vacation time and/or holiday pay. (Ord. 2009-047. Passed 3-17-09.)
