1-14-1: APPOINTMENT:

There is hereby created the office of director of public works and utilities, an executive office of the city. The director of public works and utilities shall be appointed by the mayor, by and with the advice and consent of the city council. (Ord. 03/2014, 2-3-2014)

1-14-2: QUALIFICATIONS:

The director of public works and utilities shall be a resident of the state of Illinois and must be capable of performing all duties as set forth herein. Due to his or her requirement of technical training or knowledge, the director of public works and utilities need not be a resident of the city. (Ord. 03/2014, 2-3-2014)

1-14-3: TERM OF OFFICE:

The term of office of the director of public works and utilities shall terminate at the end of the term of the appointing mayor unless otherwise established in an employment contract. (Ord. 03/2014, 2-3-2014)
