1-11-1: CLERK TO HAVE CUSTODY:
All record books and receipt books of officers, upon the expiration of their term of office, tax lists, poll tax lists, license register, election rolls and poll books, and all reports of standing or special committees of the council, and every other official record, book or paper relating to or concerning the administration of the city government, shall be deposited with, and remain in the custody and control of the clerk. 1-11-2: RECEIPT REQUIRED:
No such record books, receipt books, tax list, license register, election roll, poll book, report of committees or other book or paper as abovesaid, shall be carried away from the office of the clerk, except upon permission of the clerk, and a receipt given therefor, describing the book or paper so taken. 1-11-3: DESTRUCTION PROHIBITED:
No person shall alter, erase, obliterate, deface or destroy any such record book, register, list, report, roll, book or paper as aforesaid, unless upon special authority given by the mayor and council of the city. (7-28-1979)
