§ 8-2-1-30 MOTORCYCLES, MOTORSCOOTERS AND RECREATIONAL VEHICLES PROHIBITED OFF THE PUBLIC WAY IN CERTAIN AREAS.
   (A)   No person shall ride or operate any motorcycle, motor scooter or off-road motor vehicle on any private property or public property within one-quarter of a mile of any school, hospital, convalescent home, or residence, except on a public way or parking lot or on a private road or driveway. The restrictions in this section shall apply to any motor vehicle operated or used exclusively off the city roadways and that is not legally equipped for operation on public ways. This section shall not apply to any property which has been posted by the city as a motorcycle, motor scooter or off-road motor vehicle race course. Nor shall this section apply on the premises of commercial enterprises which are lawfully engaged in the repairs and maintenance of motorcycles, motor scooters and off-road motor vehicles.
   (B)    Every person engaged in the business of selling new or second-hand motorcycles, motor scooters and/or off-road vehicles shall be required to provide to their purchasers a copy of § 8-2-1-30 ROA 1994 and § 8-1-3-99 ROA 1994, the general penalty pursuant to this section of the traffic code.
