147.02 MEMBERS AND TERMS.
   (a)   The Recreation Commission shall consist of nine persons, one of whom shall be a member of the Board of Education of the Wyoming City School District or a member appointed by such Board. The other members of the Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor, one of whom shall be a member of Council. The Commission members shall serve for terms of three years each or until their successors are appointed, except that the members of such Commission first appointed shall be appointed for such terms that the term of one member shall expire annually thereafter. The members of such Commission shall serve without pay. In the event of a vacancy on such Commission, the member appointed shall serve out the unexpired term of the position, which has become vacant and such appointment shall be in the same manner as the original appointments.    (b)   The Commission shall elect on a yearly basis a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Secretary. The Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Secretary shall not be Council members.

   (c)   In the event of a planned absence of the appointed City Council representative, the City Manager shall designate another City Council member to serve in such absent City Council member’s absence. Such substitute Council member shall have the same powers to act and vote on all matters coming before such commission. (Ord. 4-2014. Passed 2-17-14.)
