SPECIAL STOPS
Stop signs shall be erected at entrances to through streets and at one or more entrances to stop intersections. Every driver of a vehicle shall stop at such sign or at a clearly marked stop line before entering an intersection, except when directed to proceed by a peace officer or traffic-control signal.
The driver of a vehicle emerging from a private roadway, alley, driveway, or building shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto the sidewalk area and thereafter the driver shall proceed into the sidewalk area only when the driver can do so without danger to pedestrian traffic and the driver shall yield the right of way to any vehicular traffic on the street into which the driver's vehicle is entering.
The driver of a vehicle about to enter or cross a highway from a private road or driveway shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving on said highway and shall yield the right of way to all vehicles approaching on said highway.
