TRAFFIC SIGNS, SIGNALS AND MARKINGS
The City of Waterloo may temporarily change any section of this code, by City Council Resolution, when reasonably necessary because of construction, reconstruction, maintenance, safety or natural disaster. The City shall cause signs to be erected indicating such changes. (Ord. #3441, 6/9/86; '91 Rev.)
The city shall place and maintain traffic-control signs, signals, and devices when and as required under the traffic or other ordinances of this city or by resolution of city council to make effective the provisions of said ordinances, and may place and maintain such additional traffic-control devices as traffic conditions may require to regulate, guide or warn traffic under the traffic ordinances of this City or under State Law.
No driver of a vehicle shall disobey the instructions of any official traffic-control device placed in accordance with the provisions of this Code, unless at the time otherwise directed by a police officer subject to the exceptions granted the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle.
