208.08   GENERAL BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR ONE, TWO AND THREE FAMILY DWELLINGS.
   (a)   Residential Building Permit and Related Fees. The fees for residential building permits and related permits shall be as follows.
   (b)   Residential Building Permits. The minimum permit fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for a permit to construct a new building or make an addition to an existing building or structure, to which shall be added five dollars ($ 5.00) for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof of floor area. For buildings of more than one story, the floor area of each story shall be included in the calculation of the total. Breezeways, porches, garages and carports shall also be included. Unfinished basement areas shall not be included.
      (1)   Alterations or replacements to existing structure base fee plus the following:
         A.   Base fee   $ 25.00
         B.   Replacement of existing roof, per 1,000 square feet at   5.00
          C.   Waterproofing, per 100 lineal feet add    5.00
            1.   Sump pump, each (electrical permit additional)   5.00
         D.   Addition of structural or non-structural wall only, per 100 lineal feet add   5.00
         E.   Interior alteration, per 100 square feet   5.00
            1.   Other permits may be required
         F.   Kitchen or bathroom alteration, each   25.00

         G.   Swimming Pools
            1.   Above ground   25.00
            2.   Below ground   75.00
            3.   Electrical and plumbing permits may also be required
         H.   Demolition for any residential building
            1.   Under 1,200 square feet     50.00
            2.   1,200 square feet and over    125.00
            3.   Refundable deposit for final grade at the discretion of the Building Inspector    500.00
         I.   Fence six feet and over in height from grade
            1.   Per 100 lineal feet add   5.00
         J.   Retaining wall 4 feet in height or over from footing

         K.   Curb cutting   30.00
         L.   Gutters   5.00
         M.   Siding    15.00
         N.   Each window or each door   2.00
         O.   Accessory structure including decks 200 square feet and over
            1.   Each 100 square feet   5.00
      (2)   Miscellaneous item(s) at the discretion of the Building Inspector, fee not to exceed $ 150.00
   (c)   Residential Electrical Permits. The minimum permit fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for a permit to install electrical equipment and wiring in a new building or an addition to an existing building or structure, to which shall be added five dollars ($5.00) for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof of floor area. For buildings of more than one story, the floor area of each story shall be included in the calculation of the total. Breezeways, porches, garages and carports shall also be included. Unfinished basement areas shall not be included.
      (1)   Alterations or replacements to existing wiring system base fee plus the following:
         A.   Base fee   25.00
         B.   Each electrical panel   35.00
         C.   Each electrical meter   35.00
         D.   Each disconnect or safety switch   10.00
         E.   Each air conditioner   10.00
         F.   Each furnace   10.00
         G.   Each 120 volt outlet, light fixture, light switch or device   1.00
         H.   Low voltage, communication, security and fire alarm wiring, per device    1.00
         I.   Generator, under 15 KW   10.00
         J.   Generator, over 15 KW    15.00
         K.   Interior alteration, per 100 square feet    5.00
         L.   Kitchen or bathroom alteration, each   25.00
         M.   Each temporary electrical service, fee charged if building wired by other, no base fee shall be charged   75.00
      (2)   Miscellaneous item(s) at the discretion of the Building Inspector, permit fee not to exceed $ 150.00
   (d)   Residential Plumbing Permits. The minimum permit fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for a permit to install plumbing equipment and piping in a new building or an addition to an existing building or structure, to which shall be added three dollars ($3.00) for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof of floor area. For buildings of more than one story, the floor area of each story shall be included in the calculation of the total. Breezeways, porches, garages and carports shall also be included. Unfinished basement areas shall not be included.
      (1)   Alterations or replacements to existing plumbing system base fee plus the following:
         A.   Base fee   25.00
         B.   Each hot water tank    35.00
         C.   Each new sink   10.00
         D.   Each new water closet    10.00
         E.   Lawn sprinkler system, per head   5.00
         F.   Each back flow device   10.00
         G.   Installation of water, drainage piping, gas, pneumatic or hydraulic lines per 100 lineal feet    1.00
         H.   Interior alteration, per 100 square feet    5.00
            1.   Other permits may be required
         I.   Kitchen or bathroom alteration, each    25.00
            1.   Other permits may be required
      (2)   Miscellaneous item(s) at the discretion of the Building Inspector, permit fee not to exceed $ 150.00
   (e)   Residential Heating and Cooling Permits. The minimum permit fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for a permit to install HVAC equipment and duct work in a new building or an addition to an existing building or structure, to which shall be added three dollars ($3.00) for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof of floor area. For buildings of more than one story, the floor area of each story shall be included in the calculation of the total. Breezeways, porches, garages and carports shall also be included. Unfinished basement areas shall not be included.
      (1)   Alterations or replacements to existing heating and cooling system base fee plus the following:
         A.   Base fee   25.00
         B.   Each furnace   35.00
         C.   Each air-conditioner   35.00
         D.   Each base board heater   10.00
         E.   Air duct, per 100 lineal feet    5.00
         F.   Each kitchen hood   1.00
         G.   Each exhaust fan    5.00
         H.   Each main gas meter   15.00
         I.   Each gas space heaters   10.00
         J.   Each gas fireplace    15.00
         K.   Each gas boiler    15.00
         L.   Gas piping, per 100 lineal feet   2.00
         M.   Each oil burned equipment   15.00
         N.   Interior alteration, per 100 square feet   5.00
         O.   Kitchen or bathroom alteration, each   25.00
      (2)   Miscellaneous item(s) at the discretion of the Building Inspector, permit fee not to exceed    $ 150.00
   (f)   Residential Fire Suppression Systems. The minimum permit fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for a permit to install fire suppression equipment and piping in a new building or an addition to an existing building or structure, to which shall be added three dollars ($3.00) for each 100 square feet or fraction thereof of floor area. For buildings of more than one story, the floor area of each story shall be included in the calculation of the total. Breezeways, porches, garages and carports shall also be included. Unfinished basement areas shall not be included unless protected.
      (1)   Alterations or replacements to existing fire system base fee plus the following:
         A.   Base fee   25.00
         B.   Fire suppression system, per head    2.00
         C.   Fire suppression system other than water base systems, per head   2.00
         D.   Installation of piping, per 100 lineal feet   5.00
      (2)   Miscellaneous item(s) at the discretion of the Building Inspector, permit fee not to exceed    $ 150.00.
