1442.06   PERFORMANCE BOND.
   No permit required by Section 1442.01 shall be issued by the Inspector of Buildings until such time as the applicant therefor has posted a cash performance bond with the Village in an amount not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000), as determined by the Inspector of Buildings. The conditions for the release of said bond shall be that the permit holder has complied with all of the provisions of this Building and Housing Code, in every particular, including the provisions of the standards set forth in Title Two of this Building and Housing Code, and will, prior to occupancy or use of a building or structure, in, upon or about which the work for which the permit was obtained was performed, obtain a final inspection of such work by the Inspector of Buildings or his or her agent. This section shall not apply to a homeowner who himself or herself does the work within the interior of his or her own residence and does not add additional square footage thereto.
