GENERAL PROVISIONS
(A) The city hereby adopts the 2012 International Fire Code as the minimum standards for fire and life safety protection for the city. The Fire Official for the city is to be appointed and or designated by Mayor and Council and shall be responsible for the enforcement and the penalty provisions of the Fire Code adopted.
(B) The International Fire Code edition 2012 is hereby adopted by the city and shall remain on file in the office of the Fire Official and the same hereby adopted as fully as if set out in length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the areas governed. These codes include certain penalty provision, which shall be expressly adopted along with the general provisions contained herein.
(C) It is further ordained that the codes adopted by reference herein shall include any and all amendments or supplements thereto presently in existence or may be prepared in the future, thereby, being revised periodically.

The city offers a reward of $500 for the arrest and conviction of any person or persons found guilty of committing the crime of arson within the corporate limits of said city. This reward is a standing offer and shall be paid out of the general fund of the city. The City Council shall be the sole and exclusive judge in determining eligibility for this reward and the decision of the City Council shall be final.
