§ 152.30 CONFLICT BETWEEN ZONING AND BUILDING CODES.
   In the event that any of the provisions of the codes adopted by §§ 152.01 and 152.02 as to height, area, or separation of buildings are at variance with the requirements of a zoning ordinance enacted by the council, then, if more restrictive, the requirements of the zoning ordinance shall apply and be enforced by the chief Building Official.

§ 152.31 OHIO CODES CONTROL.
   The provisions of the codes adopted by §§ 152.01 and 152.02 are to be construed together as being the regulatory and procedural provisions of the building code of the city and are intended to supplement each other. However, whenever these documents are in conflict as to procedure, the provisions of the Ohio Building Code and Residential Code of Ohio shall prevail.

§ 152.32 INDEMNIFICATION BY PERMIT HOLDER.
   Any person to whom a permit is issued under the provisions of this chapter shall agree by acceptance thereof to hold the city harmless and free from claims of any person that may be caused by, or arise from, any excavation, fill, use, building, construction, or related operation. The permission to make the use or conduct the operation shall be conditional upon the agreement as to liability.

§ 152.33 ADDENDUM TO THE RESIDENTIAL CODE OF OHIO.
   (A)   The following local criteria shall be inserted in Table 301.2(1) “Climatic and Geographic Design Criteria”
      (1)   Topographic Effects = No
      (2)   Frost line depth = 30"
      (3)   Winter Design Temp = 6 deg F
      (4)   Flood Hazards = Adopted December 5, 1990, Map 39061C Panels 0086E through 0089E, Revised 02/17/2010
      (5)   Air Freezing Index = 1000
      (6)   Mean Annual Temp = 54.5 deg F
   (B)   The International Residential Code 2018 Edition as published by the International Code Council shall govern and is applicable to this code and is incorporated herein by reference.

§ 152.34 SEWAGE DISPOSAL.
   All plumbing fixtures shall be connected to a sanitary sewer.

§ 152.35 CONFLICTS.
   The fire safety provisions stated in §§ 36.15 et seq. of the code is applicable to all new construction and any conflict with the building code should be resolved in the manner set out in § 36.20.

§ 152.36 APPEALS.
   Section 36.30 creates the Board of Housing, Building and Fire Appeals. This Board shall conduct the adjudication hearing for those matters not under the jurisdiction of the State of Ohio Board of Building Appeals as provided in §§ 36.31 to 36.35 inclusive.

§ 152.37 COMPLIANCE.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or structure in the city or cause the same to be done contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or any of the provisions of the codes adopted thereby.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or structure in the city or cause the same to be done contrary to or in violation of any plans submitted and approved by the Building Official or any of his authorized agents.
