§ 39.085 TEMPORARY MEMBER.
   If a member of the civil service board is unable to act as a member, by reason of illness, or disqualification to act at a hearing on appeal, and in the opinion of the board the business at hand requires immediate attention, the mayor may appoint a person, meeting the qualifications set forth in this section, to act instead of the ill or disqualified member until the particular business requiring immediate action has been transacted. The compensation for the services of the acting member of the board shall be the same as provided for the regular members of the board.
