147.01 RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS.
   (a)   Any person who has been a resident of the State for a period of six months, who meets physical requirements shall be eligible for examination in the classified service of the Municipality upon filing a properly completed application for examination.

   (b)   (1)   Present employees and employees who are hereafter employed by the Municipality of Sebring, Ohio, within the Fire Department shall maintain their residence within a six mile linear radius from their primary work station (i.e., Fire Station No. 1 or Fire Station No. 2).
      (2)   Present employees and employees who are hereafter employed by the Municipality of Sebring, Ohio, within the Police Department shall maintain their residence within a fifteen mile linear radius from the Police Department Headquarters.
      (3)   Present employees and employees who are hereafter employed by the Municipality of Sebring, Ohio, as Superintendent of the Water Department, Superintendent of the Waste Water Plant, Superintendent of the Park and Recreation Department, Chief of the Fire Department and the Chief of the Police Department shall maintain their residence within a six mile linear radius of Sebring City Hall currently located at 135 East Ohio Avenue, Sebring, Ohio, not later than six (6) months after the date of employment.
      (4)   Present employees and employees who are hereafter employed by the Municipality of Sebring, Ohio, in any position not included in subsection (b)(1), (2) and (3) above (or as may be set forth in the Charter) shall maintain their residence within a fifteen mile linear radius of the Municipality’s corporate boundary not later than one year after the date of employment.    (c)   Employees of the Municipality who establish residence as required in subsection (b) hereof shall provide a suitable means of communication, whereby their department headquarters can communicate with the member of the department.
