A. There is created the human rights commission which shall be composed of nine (9) members.
B. Seven (7) representatives shall be appointed with one representative from each of the seven (7) council districts; and two (2) representatives shall be appointed from the community who represent the diversity of the city.
C. Notwithstanding Section 2.07.040.B.1, at least one (1), but no more than two (2), of the members of the human rights commission shall also serve on the racial equity in policing commission and one (1) other member of the human rights commission shall also serve on the accessibility and disability commission. Membership eligibility requirements for the racial equity in policing commission and the accessibility and disability commission are independent of the eligibility requirements for the human rights commission.
