53-18A-1: PURPOSE:

   A.   Article Purpose: This article expresses Salt Lake City's philosophy related to grant acquisition and use.

   B.   Procedure Purpose: This procedure provides departments and/or divisions guidelines for grant acquisition and to facilitate synergistic grant opportunities across departments and divisions. (2019 Compilation)

53-18A-2: SCOPE:

   A.   Specified: When eligible, the City applies for any and all grants that are consistent with the mission to make Salt Lake City the best place to live, work, play, visit and do business.

   B.   Responsible Fiscal Management: Responsible fiscal management is practiced to identify matching funds when specified by a public or private funding agency.

   C.   Collaboration, Coordination: Inter-department and inter-division collaboration and coordination are encouraged to fully realize the economic benefit of each funding opportunity. (2019 Compilation)
