1466.01 PERMIT REQUIRED; PRIOR NOTICE FOR MOVING.

   No person shall wreck or demolish any building or other structure or move it without first obtaining a permit therefor from the Chief Building Official. The permit to move any building or other structure shall be approved by the Director of Public Service and may be refused if, in the judgment of the Director of Public Service and the Chief Building Official, the building cannot be moved without causing substantial damage to property or such building is structurally unsafe or unfit for the purpose for which it is to be moved. The Director of Public Safety shall be advised of the time for moving and the route thereof.

1466.02 INSURANCE REQUIRED.

   Any person wrecking or moving a building or other structure shall, prior to the issuance of a permit therefor, present evidence of public liability insurance coverage in the following sums:

 

Personal bodily injury $500,000/$1,000,000 Property damage    $50,000/$100,000

 

1466.03 AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED.

   The applicant, if other than the owner, shall present a written statement or bill of sale, signed by the owner, indicating that the applicant is authorized to move or wreck the building or other structure.
