1282.01   OBJECTIVES; EXEMPTION.
   (a)   The following objectives are intended to be satisfied by the enactment of the standards contained in this section:
      (1)   Health.  Amateur transmissions are permitted in all zoning districts.  Commercial or business transmissions shall be prohibited in all Residential Districts to minimize frequency interference and radiation danger.
      (2)   Safety.  Antennas shall be constructed and installed to reasonably protect the safety of persons and property and to comply with this section, Building and Housing Code provisions and manufacturer's specifications.  Notwithstanding antenna size, height and wind surface area, the antenna shall be capable of withstanding a wind of 100 miles per hour.
      (3)   Aesthetics.  Council intends to preserve the image of fine homes, trees and other vegetation in the Residential Districts.
   (b)   Exemption.  Roof-mounted antennas not exceeding five feet in size are exempt from the provisions of this section.
