1260.01   SHORT TITLE.
   For purposes of reference and citation, Title Six of Part Twelve - the Planning and Zoning Code of these Codified Ordinances, may be referred to as the Zoning Code.

1260.02   INTENT AND AUTHORITY.
   (a)   It is the intent of this Zoning Code to foster and preserve the architectural character of the Village; to integrate the building scale of the entire Village; to make a more cohesive Village atmosphere; to encourage increased pedestrian and bicycle transportation in addition to vehicular transportation; to increase accessibility to and among land uses; to encourage sound and orderly growth and provide for the most appropriate use of land; to provide for the administration of this Zoning Code; to prescribe penalties for the violation of the provisions of this Zoning Code; and to provide for the appeal of any hardship incurred in connection with the administration and enforcement of this Zoning Code; all for the purpose of protecting the public health, safety, comfort and general welfare of the Village.
   (b)   This Zoning Code is enacted in accordance with the provisions of Ohio R.C. Chapter 713.

1260.03   SEPARABILITY.
   Should any section or provision of this Zoning Code be declared by any court to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of this Zoning Code as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so declared to be unconstitutional or invalid.
