A. Penalty Imposed: Any person, firm or corporation who violates any of the provisions of this chapter or shall allow the premises occupied to become unsanitary shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. The City of Okemah Code Enforcement Officer shall have the authority to write and issue citations to any person, firm or corporation who violates the provisions of this chapter or allows the premises occupied to become unsanitary. B. Continuing Violation: If the nuisance upon which the initial conviction under this chapter has not been abated within ten (10) days after the date of the initial conviction, then and in that event, said person or other legal entity so convicted may be charged with an additional violation of this chapter for each day the said nuisance remains unabated after said ten (10) days.
