§ 28-601.2 Enactment of the New York City Plumbing Code.

The New York city plumbing code based on the 2003 edition of the International Plumbing Code published by the International Code Council, with changes that reflect the unique character of the city and amendments that bring it up to date with the 2015 edition of such International Plumbing Code, is hereby adopted to read as follows:

Editor's note: the New York City Plumbing Code was comprehensively amended by L.L. 2020/014, 1/10/2020, eff. 11/7/2022. Section 4 of L.L. 2020/014 (as amended by L.L. 2021/126), provides: "This local law shall take effect on the same date as the effective date of a local law amending the administrative code of the city of New York, the New York city plumbing code, the New York city building code, the New York city mechanical code and the New York city fuel gas code in relation to bringing such codes and related provisions of law up to date with the 2015 editions of the international building, mechanical, fuel gas and plumbing codes, except that this local law shall not apply to plumbing work related to applications for construction document approval filed prior to such effective date." That legislation was adopted by L.L. 2021/126, 11/7/2021, eff. 11/7/2022.

Chapter 1: Administration

Section PC 101: General

101.1 Title.

This code shall be known and may be cited as the "New York City Plumbing Code," "NYCPC" or "PC". All section numbers in this code shall be deemed to be preceded by the designation "PC".
