   929.01 RESIDENTIAL SERVICE.
   (a)    Availability. This rate is available for residential service to installations served through one meter for each family unit in a residence or apartment.
   When service is used through the same meter for both residential and commercial
purposes, the applicable general service rate schedule shall apply.
   This rate schedule is not available for service to commercial, institutional or
industrial establishments.
   (b)    Service. Alternating current, single phase, 60 Hz, nominal voltages of 120 volt 2 wire, 120/240 volt 3 wire or 120/208 volt 3 wire.
   (c)   Rate:  
      The net monthly charge per customer shall be:

   The minimum monthly charge shall be the customer charge for both non-load and load management rates
   (d)    Billing Demand. The billing demand for the month shall be the highest measured thirty minute kW demand during the month.
   (e)    Demand Meter. A demand meter may be installed if the customer's usage has
been in excess of 500 kilowatt hours per month, for three consecutive months, and the customer consents to the installation, and the customer's meter socket can accept a standard three wire demand meter. The demand meter may be removed if the customer's usage is less than 500 kilowatt hours per month, for twelve months, or if requested in writing by the customer.
   (f)    Multi-Family Dwellings. Where two or more facilities, with separate cooking
facilities, occupy a residential dwelling, the wiring shall be arranged so that the service to each family can be metered and billed separately. If the wiring is not so arranged and two or more families are served through one meter, the energy blocks and minimum charge as determined on a single family basis shall be multiplied by the number of families served.

   (g)    Terms of Payment. The amount billed for electrical service is due and payable on or before the fifteenth day of the month of billing. On all bills not paid in full by the due date a late fee of ten percent (10%) shall be charged on the amount billed. Any account not paid in full within five days after the due date of such bill is delinquent and the Village reserves the right to discontinue the service. In the event the Village elects to so terminate, the customer shall receive a final notice stating the date the service shall be terminated, unless a request for an extension, for good cause shown, is received, and shall upon this same notice be advised of a right to an Administrator’s hearing prior to termination. Said notice shall include the number of the Erie and Huron County Department of Jobs and Family Services, to direct the customer to assistance. In the event of a shut-off for nonpayment of bills, there shall be a charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) for reconnection of service.

   (h)    Compatibility. Motors and equipment served under this rate schedule must
have electrical characteristics so as not to interfere with service supplied of other
customers of the Village. (Ord. 565-11-11. Passed 11-22-11.)
   929.02 GENERAL SERVICE - SMALL.
   (a)    Availability. This rate shall be available for all customers of the Village with measured demands of 50 kW or less. When a customer's measured demand exceeds 50 kW for twelve consecutive months, such a customer shall be billed under the General Service- Medium Rate Schedule.
   (b)    Service. Alternating current, 60 Hz, at nominal voltages of 120/240 or 120/208 or 277 single phase, or 120/208 or 240 or 277/480 three phase, as may be available from suitable facilities of adequate capacity adjacent to the premises to be served. Other voltages may be obtained from available distribution facilities provided the customer owns, operates and maintains all necessary transforming, controlling, regulating and protective equipment in which case service will be metered at the Village supply voltage.
   (c)   Rate.
      The net monthly charge per customer shall be:

   The minimum charge for non-load management customers shall be the customer
charge.
   The minimum monthly charge for load management customers shall be the customer charge plus $4.00 per kW of billing demand.
   (d)    Billing Demand. The billing demand for the month shall be the greatest of:
      (1)   The highest measured thirty minute kW demand during the month.
      (2)   Sixty percent (60%) of the highest billing demand during the preceding eleven months.
      (3)    The contract demand.
   (e)    Adjustment for Primary Metering. Where the transformer installation, regardless of ownership, is utilized solely for furnishing service to a single customer, the Village may meter the service on the primary side of the transformers, and in such case, the demand and energy registrations shall be reduced to two percent (2%).
   (f)    Terms of Payment. The net amount billed is due and payable within fifteen days after the date of mailing of the bill. If the net amount is not paid on or before the date shown on the bill for payment of the net amount, the gross amount which is ten percent (10%) more than the net amount is due and payable.
   (g)    Auxiliary or Stand-By-Service. When auxiliary or stand-by service is furnished, a contract bond shall be established by mutual agreements and shall be specified in the service contract. No reduction in contract demand shall be permitted during the term of the contract. In recontracting for auxiliary or stand-by service, the new contract demand shall not be less than sixty percent (60%) of the highest billing demand during the last eleven months of the previous contract term.    929.03 GENERAL SERVICE - MEDIUM.
   (a)    Availability. This rate is available for customers where the billing demand shall not be less than 50 kVA.
   Both single and three phase service will be metered through one meter and so billed
unless circumstances not under the control of the Village or lack of necessary equipment makes it impractical or impossible.
   (b)    Service. Alternating current, 60 Hz, at nominal voltages of 120/240 or 120/208 or 277 single phase, or 120/208 or 240 or 277/480 three phase, as available from suitable facilities of adequate capacity adjacent to the premises to be served.
   (c)   Rate.
      The net monthly charge per customer shall be:

      Minimum Charge:
      The minimum Charge shall be the capacity charge plus the customer charge.
   (d)    Billing Demand. The billing demand for the month shall be the greatest of:
      (1)    The highest measured thirty minute kVA demand during the month.
      (2)    Sixty percent (60%) of the highest billing demand during the preceding eleven months.
      (3)    50 kVA.
      (4)    The contract demand.
   When metering capable of measuring on-peak demands is in use, the customer's measured demand shall be the greater of the on-peak demand or fifty percent (50%) of the off-peak demand. When the customer's billing demand has exceeded 250 kVA for six consecutive months and such customer has the capability of moving a deferrable demand to an off-peak period and desires to do so, the Village will provide the metering capability to measure demands occurring during on-peak periods. On-peak periods are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time Monday thru Friday, except for the following legal holidays observed during these periods: New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. All other periods shall be off-peak. The
Village shall not be required to increase the capacity of any service facilities in order to furnish off-peak demands. The Village reserves the right upon thirty days' notice to customers affected, to change the time or times during which on-peak demands may be established.
   (e)    Adjustment for Primary Metering. Where a transformer installation, regardless of ownership, is utilized solely to furnish service to a sing customer, the Village may meter the service on the primary side of the transformers, and in such case the demand and energy registrations shall be reduced two percent (2%).
   (f)    Adjustment for Customer Owned Equipment. The capacity and energy charge
shall be reduced by four percent (4%) when the customer receives directly from the distribution voltage and owns and maintains the transforming, controlling and protective equipment.
   (g)    Terms of Payment. The net amount billed is due and payable within fifteen days after the date of mailing of the bill. If the net amount is not paid on or before the date shown on the bill for payment of the net amount, the gross amount which is ten percent (10%) more than the net amount is due and payable.
   (h)    Auxiliary or Stand-By-Service. When auxiliary or stand-by service is furnished, a contract bond shall be established by mutual agreements and shall be specified in the service contract. No reduction in contract demand shall be permitted during the term of the contract. In recontracting for auxiliary or stand-by service, the new contract demand shall not be less than sixty percent (60%) of the highest billing demand during the last eleven months of the previous contract term.
