929.12 INTERCONNECTION OF CERTIFIED INVERTER-BASED EQUIPMENT 50 KW OR SMALLER FOR CUSTOMER OWNED SOLAR ENERGY ELECTRICAL GENERATION.
   (a)   Definitions. As used in this section, the following words and phrases shall have the following meaning:
      (1)   Customer-Generator means a customer who utilizes solar electric generation where the electric generation is located on the customer’s premises, to offset no more than one hundred percent (100%) of the customer’s annual electric load calculated as set forth herein.
      (2)   KW means kilowatt.
      (3)   kWh mean kilowatt hour.
   (b)   Rates and Charges.
      (1)   Any customer who desires to install solar electric generation facility will be required to pay a $75.00 filing fee in addition to the electrical inspection fee in an amount to be determined by the Village Building Department.
      (2)   Any customer who installs and utilizes solar electric generation shall pay a business meter charge of $10.50 per month.
      (3)   The electric meter installed shall be bi-directional and the Village will credit the customer for Net Excess Generation supplied to the Village by kWh. The Village will keep a running balance for each customer utilizing solar electric generation and deduct the credited kWh from each customer’s future electric billings, if any, not to exceed the customer’s kWh per month. Any excess kWh credit shall carry forward month to month with no cash value given to the customer for Net Excess Generation. The customer shall be billed for any and all power obtained from the Village electric department at the applicable business rate.
   (c)   Agreement with Village. Any customer who desires to install solar electric generation facility will be required to execute an Application for Interconnection and pay the fees as set forth above. In addition, each customer who desires to install solar electric generation facility shall execute an Interconnection Agreement with the Village and obey its terms. Any breach of any term of the Interconnection Agreement will cause the Agreement to be canceled and the customer will be required to remove any solar electric generation facility from the Village’s electric system.
