Sec. 22.268. Authorization to Make Services Available.

   The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to make available the services of the Scientific Investigation Division when requested by law enforcement agencies of Federal, State, County or City governments upon payment of the fees prescribed there for, provided that priority shall be given to the investigation of crimes committed in the City of Los Angeles.

Sec. 22.269. Fee Schedules.

   The Board of Police Commissioners is hereby authorized and directed to establish a schedule of fees for the various scientific and criminal investigation services rendered to law enforcement agencies of Federal, State, County or city governments at their request. The amount of the fees so fixed shall be not less than the cost to the Police Department of conducting such investigations or providing such services.

Sec. 22.272. Authorization to Make Services Available.

   The Board of Police Commissioners may authorize the Police Department to furnish the following services to private individuals upon written application therefor:

   (a)   Search of Department records to ascertain whether the applicant has a record of arrest or conviction;

   (b)   Fingerprinting the applicant and transmitting copies of the same to such persons or governmental agencies approved by the Board as the applicant may request.

   Such applications shall be made upon forms provided and in accordance with any rules or regulations adopted therefor by the Board.
