(a) Sale of Personal Property. Any personal property belonging to the City that is no longer required for the use of the City shall be sold by the General Manager of the Department of General Services, provided however, that no personal property that is under the control of any department of the City shall be sold except at the request in writing of the board, commission, or officer having the control and management of the department. The General Manager of the Department of General Services shall make all sales of personal property in the manner provided in this article.
(b) Salvaged Hazardous Electronic Equipment. Personal property of the City available for sale under this article does not include salvaged City-owned hazardous electronic equipment covered by Section 7.82 of this article.
