§ 4-131. Acting as board of examiners.
   The "Board" shall be vested with the authority to act as a board of examiners, and from time to time, at its sessions, examine applicants for licenses. Such applicants shall be examined by the board at such time and place as the board shall designate. The applicants shall be examined concerning their qualifications and competency to engage in the business of installing electrical wiring and electrical material. The written part of the examination shall be practical and elementary in character, but sufficiently strict to test the qualifications of the applicants. A fee of $15.00 payable to the city tax office shall be charged for each examination and the money used to defray the costs incident to the examination. Licenses shall not be transferable. Any electrical contractor license by the county prior to enaction of this article shall not be required to take the written examination.
