GENERAL PROVISIONS
§ 31.01 INAUGURATION.
   The terms of elected municipal officers shall commence at the first regular or special meeting of the Board of Trustees during the month of April following the proclamation of the results of the regular village election at which the officers were elected.

§ 31.02 COMPENSATION.
   (A)   The annual salaries of elected officers of the village shall be established by the Board of Trustees as necessary.
   (B)   The annual salaries shall be paid in equal monthly installments commencing on a date as determined by the Board of Trustees.

§ 31.03 SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY.
   The Village Board has adopted a Sexual Harassment Policy, dated December 12, 2017, which shall be kept on file with the Village Manager. All employees and officials shall be provided a copy and trained on the provisions of same. Violation of the Sexual Harassment Policy shall subject an employee to discipline including up to suspension and/or termination and village officials shall be subject to fines and penalties as set forth in the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act (5 ILCS 430), and shall subject any elected officials and/or agent of the village to a fine up to $1,000 per violation, with each occurrence constituting a separate violation.
