1501.01 ADOPTION OF OHIO FIRE CODE.
   The City shall utilize and enforce the Ohio Fire Code, which is promulgated by the State Fire Marshal. The Chief of the Fire Prevention Bureau may, with the approval of the Fire Chief, make inspections, write violations and institute enforcement proceedings pursuant to the Ohio Fire Code. 1501.02 ALTERNATE METHODS AND MATERIALS.
   The Chief of the Fire Prevention Bureau may, with the approval of the Fire Chief, approve the use of a material or method of work not specifically prescribed by the Ohio Fire Code. The approval of such alternative shall comply with the intent of the provisions of the Ohio Fire Code. The material, method or work offered shall be, for the purpose intended, at least the equivalent of that prescribed in the Ohio Fire Code in quality, strength, effectiveness, fire resistance, durability and safety.
