705.19 VEHICLES OPERATED BY THE STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
   The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to emergency or nonemergency vehicles operated by the State, the Federal Government or any political subdivision of the State, their agencies or departments, except that any medical vehicle service operated by the City shall comply with all provisions of this chapter.

705.20 24-HOUR SERVICE.
   No medical vehicle service shall be licensed under the provisions of this chapter unless the operator thereof first provides to the Director written assurances that twenty-four hour services shall be provided by any such service. Any license issued to a provider of emergency medical vehicle service shall become void if for any reason service is not continuously provided as required by this section.

705.21 MEDICAL MALPRACTICE INSURANCE.
   No emergency medical vehicle service shall be licensed under the provisions of this chapter unless the operator thereof provides to the Director written certification that such service carries professional malpractice insurance with amounts of at least five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) per individual and one million dollars ($1,000,000) per occurrence or event.

705.99 PENALTY.
   Whoever violates any provision of this chapter shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
   Every person licensed hereunder shall be required to maintain and continue to meet all requirements and qualifications after being licensed; and every medical vehicle service shall continue to meet the requirements for vehicles being used as emergency or nonemergency medical vehicles. Failure to do so shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
