(A) The city Solid Waste Department hereby purchases from the Open Space Fund Section 18, or 470 acres of property known as the Cerro Colorado and 65 acres of Section 17, and all property necessary for access right-of-way to be developed as a regional sanitary landfill.
(B) It is the intent of the Council that the city apply for the maximum number of years allowable by state law, preferably for the entire life expectancy of the entire Cerro Colorado site, which is estimated to be 28 years.
