(A) The city of Albuquerque hereby accepts an invitation by the government and the people of the city of Hualien, Taiwan, Republic of China, to participate with Albuquerque in the “People to People Program” as its Sister City for the purpose of creating mutual understanding and international goodwill.
(B) The Mayor is hereby authorized to act as official representative of the city of Albuquerque to carry out the “People to People Program” and that copies of this section shall be transmitted to the Mayor and City Council of the city of Hualien, Taiwan, Republic of China, the Town Affiliation Association of the United States, Inc., and the Embassy of the Republic of China.
