§ 4-2-11 INTERSTATE CORRIDOR ENHANCEMENT PLAN.
   (A)   The City Council supports and endorses the Interstate Corridor Enhancement Plan – A Conceptual Framework including design themes and concepts for the enhancement of I-25 and I-40, and supports its implementation.
   (B)   The Council recognizes the importance of cooperation among the NMSHTD, MRGCOG, Bernalillo County, City Planning and other City departments, the private sector, the community at large, in developing and implementing the ICE Plan.
   (C)   The City shall forward the ICE Plan to the MRGCOG (the Metropolitan Planning Organization) to obtain support of the Urban Transportation Planning and Policy Board (UTPPB) and incorporate the implementation of the ICE Plan into the Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
   (D)   The City shall forward the ICE Plan to the New Mexico State Highway Department and the New Mexico State Highway Commission for their endorsement and support, and inclusion of the Plan into the Highway Upgrade Program for capital and maintenance funding.
   (E)   The City will work with the NMSHTD and the MRGCOG/UTPPB to program a portion of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA 21) money as multi-year capital funding for implementation of the ICE Plan as part of the Highway Upgrade Program. Other sources of funding will also be identified and Included in a funding strategy for integration of the ICE Plan into the Highway Upgrade Program.
   (F)   The City shall continue to work with the NMSHTD, the MRGCOG/UTPPB, and other appropriate agencies to develop a maintenance program that identifies costs, funding sources and commitments. This maintenance program will be submitted to the Council and other parties for approval.
