(A) Each year the City Council shall recognize publicly city government programs which show the most progress in increasing safety and reducing injuries. The Council shall do so by awarding formal proclamations at a City Council meeting. Proclamations shall be awarded to the three programs showing the greatest improvement during the previous year.
(B) The Risk Management Program of the Department of Finance and Management shall be responsible for this project.
(C) The Risk Management Program shall monitor the success of this and other projects to increase safety and reduce workers' compensation costs, report on the projects' progress to the City Council, and make suggestions with regard to ways of improving the Council's safety recognition project.
